Herstellungsverfahren
Bariumcarbonat wird aus natürlichem Bariumsulfat (Baryt) durch Reduktion mit Petrolkoks und anschließender Fällung mit Kohlendioxid hergestellt.
Eigenschaften
BaCO3-Molekulargewicht: 197,34; weißes Puder; Relatives Gewicht: 4,4; Kann sich nicht in Wasser oder Alkohol auflösen; Auflösen in BaO und Kohlendioxid unter 1.300℃; Löslich durch Säure.
